Our Story

Hi there! I’m Megan, the founder of Golden Ears Co. — proudly born and raised in beautiful British Columbia and currently live in Maple Ridge. Dogs have always been a huge part of my life. I even showed our beloved late dog, Freddy, and earned his Canadian Championship. Today, my two sidekicks, Duke the Golden Retriever and Walter the Basset Hound, keep life full of love, laughter, and inspiration.

Golden Ears Co. was born from my search for adorable, high-quality bandanas that would stand the test of time and crazy dogs — and when I couldn’t find what I loved, I decided to create it myself! Our mission is to offer cute, well-made products that every pet (and their people!) can enjoy and even match! 

Over the years, we’ve shared our lives with dogs of all sizes from tiny Chihuahuas to Rottweilers, and we know firsthand how tough it can be to find accessories that actually fit — especially for the  really little and really big ones! That’s why we designed our bandanas to fit a wide range of dogs, from the tiniest Chihuahuas to the fluffiest Bernese Mountain Dogs (and everyone in between).

Our name, Golden Ears Co., is a special play on words — a tribute to both Duke and Walter: Golden for Duke the Golden Retriever, Ears for Walter the Basset Hound’s signature floppy ears, and of course, the breathtaking Golden Ears mountain range is right in our backyard and are a beautiful backdrop to our community. You’ll even spot Duke, Walter, and the Golden Ears mountains proudly featured in our logo!
